About the architect
Roman Delugan (1963, Merano, Italy) studied at the Academy of Applied Arts in Vienna. From 1984 to 1985 he worked on the research project ‘Twentieth century architecture in Austria’. Between 1996 and 1997 he was a guest lecturer at the Academy of Applied Arts.
About his work
In 1993 he was co-founder of the DeluganMeissl agency (together with Elke Delugan-Meissl), which at the time of the lecture in Amsterdam was in the spotlight because of its design for the Film Museum on the northern banks of the IJ. The firm is also working on the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart and a new campus for the University of Vienna.
